this is an experiment in social disobedience.
i am encouraging a platform of anonymous honesty and hilarity.
if you take this too seriously, you should go back to hiding behind your facebook profile.
this is what it sounds like: a "stock market"-type platform for groups of people.
i built this mostly because
- i can, so why not
- there are +1 and like buttons everywhere, and yet no -1 buttons
- i'm interested in what might happen
- haters gonna hate
features, lol
- you can sign up. wow.
- you can make a social market
- markets can be private or public
- a market can be made real or imaginary
- a "real" social market would be made up of other users
- the other users must be signed up and must accept being in the market
- the users within the market vote each other up and down anonymously
- i am not responsible for hurt feelings when your market value crashes
- an "imaginary" social market would be made up of whatever
- characters from a TV show
- brand names
- really, whatever
- all markets come with at least one neat graph of the last 7 days of market activity
- every entity in a market has a market value and a market worth
- you can + or - vote an entity in a market once every four hours
- how much your + or - is worth changes based on your own value, your market worth, and other factors
- what's the point?
- let people know they suck, anonymously
- let people know they're awesome, anonymously
- bound to be a conversation starter
- it's what social media was really created for
- you can change your password and shit
features not done yet, fuck you
- editing your market
- finer-grained control of users in your market
- customizable graphs
- exportable data
- anonymous or non-anon commenting
- market analysis and speculation commentary
- user profiles on a per-market basis
- buying/selling shares of market entities
- "delete me" option
if you want to use it, cool. if not, go away.
